It´s common knowledge that eye contact is extremely important when we meet another person. In some cultures it isn´t polite to look the elderly in the eye, while in others the rule would be just the opposite. No matter the attitude, eyes are one of the most representative parts of ourselves, the ones to which we delegate the fundamental task to say, without words, who we are and what we feel.

If eyes are the mirror of the soul, we might as well give them a nice frame! From March to September sunnies are The Item to always keep close, not only to protect your eyes from UV rays, but to have the ultimate diva look. There are plenty of examples in the history of cinema on the most charming ways to hide our eyes, from the famous Lolita heart-shaped sunglasses in the homonymous movie, Audrey Hepburn, and many others.

A pair of sunnies will give even a plain printed t-shirt (even this one from Chanel!) a whole new vibe, only imagine of what they could do with chandelier earrings and a turban! Check out Tom Ford´s last collection, a gorgeous temptation to our paydays, but if we’ve learnt anything at all about temptation it is that sometimes, like in this case, the wisest thing is to yield to it.

Our favourite make up tips can help you make your wedding look as glam as possible!
It’s your beautiful face people are going to be looking at all day and night long. Therefore, you need to look only magnificently beautiful. To accomplish this, you can do just a few things so you look natural and refreshed. Firstly, to ensure that your foundation lasts the whole day, using a primer as a base is essential. Secondly, the key to finding the perfect foundation to match your skin tone is to check the colour in natural light. Thirdly, good concealer is a bridal beauty absolute must to get rid of any unwanted shadows that might persist after foundation application.

It may seem like more make-up than you are used to, but remember that for photographs and all-day longevity, powder is essential to set the foundation and concealer. And to avoid looking washed out for photographs with your husband, make sure you apply a subtle blusher, or try to sweep bronzer over cheekbones. Then it’s is time to choose your eye shadows. Darker or lighter? Fake eye lashes? One or two coats of the best waterproof mascara? This is where your creativity comes into play. A simple, sophisticated affair–and tailored look? A red carpet or runway look? Anyhow, work your magic, and show your fun, sexy side in your wedding day make up. The final step is adding a touch of gloss and applying lipstick. You’ll be kissing your new husband, kissing your beloved guests, sipping your champagne… so you better to know your favourite already.

But don’t forget about rule number one: Perfect make up begins with great skin care.

Spring has finally arrived, and soon it will leave the place it holds in our hearts so that summer can move in. As soon as the nice season arrives we immediately know: one long breath of fresh air from our windows and we know winter´s grey will be at bay for a while. The sense of smell is a very immediate and striking ways for discovering our world, and to show who we are. When we fall in love for example, there are plenty of stories about the eyes that suddenly meet and it´s like a flash of lightning, but what can really get stuck into our brains is the smell of the person we are attracted to. Perfumes also are essential to our identity, this is why the right perfume can boost your confidence and make you even feel a whole different person.

dustyburrito.blogspot.com iamsassychic.com
What better way to embrace the general awakening than changing perfume? This season´s must is obviously floral, green scents, like Kenzo´s most celebrated Flower. Marc Jacobs as well leads us to temptation with candy-coloured yummy scented sprays. Issey Miyake inebriates us with these gentle rose nuances yet with a sparkling aftertaste.
Wear a drop of perfume behind your ears to fascinate with your irresistible allure those who dare come too close, now it´s your time to blossom.

We do! We feel like it is high time to buy blue colored pieces! Since we spotted cousin of royal blue – cobalt blue, on almost all imporant runways during the fashion weeks in New York or Paris, we think it is time for your to mix cobalt blue into your closet. Mulberry‘s creative director Emma Hill declared that “Cobalt is the new black” so work with it! We really love the pop that cobalt blue gives to an outfit. What are your favorite colors to pair it with?

Cobalt blue is not appearing only on clothes. Katy Perry’s blue hair were shown in every fashion magazine. She was looking good, don’t you think? Beyonce, who is obviously in love with blue, named her baby Blue Ivy, was spotted wearing her blue sparkling manicure so many times, that we had to give it a try too. And Lana Del Rey? She is singing Blue Jeans songs. Turn your eyes to bluer skies with collection of sky blue nail polish! How would you wear this range of azure tones?

Dressing up on a rainy day can demand an extra organizational effort, since there are so many different things to take into consideration. Water, humidity, feet, hair, and most of all the risk that the grey might infect your mood but hey, good news is that there is a miracle recipe: colour splashes! They´ll brighten your day and their fun will be contagious.

A sophisticated umbrella will give you the courage to get out of home, while a new pair of Welly boots will foster your will of walking in the rain knowing that your feet will be perfectly dry, and won´t look childish at all. A bright coloured raincoat like this lemony yellow one from Petit Bateau of the forest green boyfriend jacket from French Connection: two different styles that will so cheer you up that no flash of lightening will compete to your smile!

And rain isn´t a good excuse to have a bad hair day: a messy bun will definitely sort you out: remember to put on some conditioner after the shampoo to soften your hair and make it more resistant to humidity - we´ve tried L´Oreal´s Expert line and the result is great even with the fizziest locks. Make a low ponytail and place some bobby pins following your creative flair, the result will be classy and easy-going at the same time.
After all these tips you´ll be hoping to find upcoming storms on your weather forecast just to wear your new rain gear.

Since Fashion Week we become slightly obsessed with the pyjama trend, as this look was sported by so many fashion folks this season. Pajamas are not just for sleeping anymore, so classic pyjamas are having a major moment, do you already have your favorites? Don’t be shy, this is not a lingerie look. It’s a vaguely more masculine take on the pyjama, so you’ll feel just great in silk pyjama shirt and the teal silk pyjama bottoms pieces designed with a relaxed fit. Key is not to making it look so pyjama-ish, so accessorize it with non-sleepwear. Matching high heels from Aldo or Asos, and simple, sun-kissed make up. And don’t forget to keep it loose. Tops should sit below the trouser line, or be just tucked in.

New York Magazine posted a couple brilliant slideshows of people looking stylish on the streets of New York City in high end pajamas (extreme high end, we’re talking $1,000 and up for a pair of pj’s) because wearing pajamas out of the house is not an excuse to look sloppy.

Rihanna wore a Fall 2012 Emilio Pucci frock that’s so trendy it’s almost futuristic, Stella McCartney‘s block-printed silky pyjamas are just lovable, however, not everyone has the cash or style to rock the trend this responsibly… But apparently, there also was a street fashion contest, which aimed, after seeing pyjama trend on so many celebrities, bringing this cool style to our own daily style.
Would you be brave enough to work the pyjama look? What do you think of the pyjama trend?

Festival season is just around the corner: time to book our tickets and be as careful as a Prussian general to really think it through. Festivals may really be a moment to remember in a lifetime´s existence, but you definitely would like to avoid that kind of epic yet preposterous tone because it all turned out more uncomfortable and less fun than you expected.

collegefashion.net blog.berrybluedesign.com redapple.it
The most essential asset would definitely be welly boots: we don´t know why, but there is always a loving relationship between festivals and mud, regardless of how dry the location may usually be. And with all the people, the festival frenzy, the floor is the last thing you would like to come in contact with. Denim shorts would be also great: effortlessly stylish, you can combine them as you wish. As for the general vibe, flowery and funky never go wrong, there is something really seventies in the whole fest vibe that just fits perfectly in!

glamourmagazine.co.uk
Sienna Miller is surviving the heat in an easy straw hat which will eventually even disguise the not-so- neat festival hair. We definitely have something to learn from Corinne Bailey Rae, who showed us how playsuits are a festival must-have: they don´t take much space, you don´t have to worry about choosing the outfit, one piece and off to the gig!
Obviously we didn´t expect anything less from Queen Kate, the one and only who could have brought urban chic even during Glastonbury with a military shirt and fishnet tights.

The Great Gatsby´s vibe is definitely back on, and we couldn´t be more thrilled!
The spirit of the Roaring Twenties was full of that enthusiasm, that will of making the most out of life, that free-spirit which usually marks young people of all eras, but which usually finds particularly fertile grounds after hard times. And we are definitely taking on that very same light-hearted zest!
False eye lashes, wavy hair and daring red lips (and Mac´s rich textures will lead you to a perfect result with minimum effort) will not only boost your confidence, but they will add an irresistibly feminine flair that will constantly turn heads.

Surround yourself with the smooth elegance that those straight but slinky lines give. During the last Fashion Weeks we saw how many A-listed designers have reinterpreted this absolute classic in a new contemporary key. Marchesa has reinvented the Charleston dress and the result is graceful – yet with character. Roberto Cavalli as well jazzed up his catwalks – obviously leaving unaltered the essential features of his lines: that is to say bold, excessive and glaring.
